There are three ways to use a template to create a new takeoff on a project.

  1. Create a takeoff from the templates panel

  2. Use the templates suggestion list

  3. Manually link a project takeoff to a takeoff template

Create a takeoff from the templates panel

Click on "Templates" in the right side of your page to open the "Templates" panel. Open your templates folders to find the desired takeoff template.

Click on the button that appears to the left of the takeoff template name to create a new takeoff from this template.

Use the templates suggestion list

Create a new takeoff item of desired type (area, linear or count) using the top toolbar. Start typing the name of the takeoff item, and you will see a drop-down list appear.

Choose the desired takeoff in the template section of the drop-down list, and click on it.

Manually link a takeoff project to a takeoff template

If you don't remember the name of your template, you can search through the templates folders to link it to an existing takeoff item.

In the takeoff properties of your takeoff project item, click on the template button, then click on "Link to a template".

Search through the takeoff folders (hint: click on a folder to open its content) until you find the desired takeoff template.

Select the takeoff template, then click on the green button "Link to template".
